Christopher White is the Corporate Senior Vice-President Managing Director of Research & Development) NEC, President of NEC Laboratories America.

Under his leadership, NEC Labs focuses on pioneering research in areas such as machine learning, optical networking, and system security. With a robust background in scientific computing and quantum chemistry, Chris has dedicated over two decades to advancing technology and innovation. Before joining NEC, he spent 22 years at Nokia Bell Labs, where he led significant research initiatives.

He holds a Ph.D. in Theoretical Quantum Chemistry from the University of California, Berkeley, and both a B.S. and M.S. in Chemistry from Carnegie Mellon University, emphasising Computer Science. His current work is centred on developing tools that enhance human intelligence through data analysis and modelling.
