The UN Solutions Hub (UNSH) is a strategic collaboration between GeSI and the UNFCCC Global Innovation Hub, formally launched at COP30 to address one of the world’s most pressing challenges: the gap between climate ambition and real-world implementation.
As countries face increasing pressure to deliver measurable progress on mitigation, adaptation, and resilience, UNSH functions as a global accelerator, connecting climate needs with technology-driven, investable, and scalable solutions.
A UN–GeSI Collaboration Built for Action
UNSH leverages:
- The UNFCCC’s mandate and visibility to identify priority country and sector needs
- GeSI’s global network of digital leaders as the engine for solution discovery, innovation, and deployment
This structure allows UNSH to serve as both a policy-grounded and technology-enabled platform for global climate action.
What UNSH Does
UNSH connects policymakers, industry, innovators, financiers, and research organisations to accelerate climate solutions, with three core capabilities:
- Demand Mapping Identifying the most urgent climate challenges of countries and regions—including mitigation, adaptation, resilience, and nature-based priorities.
- Solution Curation Evaluating and matching relevant solutions—from digital, AI, and data-driven systems to renewable energy, sustainable mobility, water technologies, and circular-economy innovations.
- Collaboration & Scaling Enabling partnerships, investment pathways, and implementation through UNFCCC, GeSI members, and global networks.
UNSH is structured to become a continuously evolving repository of ready-to-deploy, evidence-based, and scalable solutions.
Value for GeSI Members
Participation in UNSH offers GeSI members:
- A direct interface with UN climate processes, helping shape national and sectoral priorities.
- Visibility and recognition for member-developed climate and sustainability solutions
- Opportunities for co-designed pilots and implementation projects with governments and international partners
- A curated multi-stakeholder ecosystem integrating technology, policy, finance, and science
This strengthens the role of GeSI members as essential contributors to global climate action.
A Platform Positioned for Global Impact
By uniting GeSI’s digital innovation leadership, the UNFCCC’s global mandate, and partners such as TCS, UNSH is designed to:
- Push forward high-impact, technology-enabled climate solutions
- Encourage investment and collaboration at scale
- Support countries in aligning climate objectives with implementation pathways
- Advance a more resilient, inclusive, and digitally enabled global climate agenda
By aligning UN climate priorities with digital innovation and industry capability, UNSH supports countries in translating climate objectives into implementation pathways – while enabling GeSI members to play an active role in delivering measurable climate outcomes.
