GeSI Welcomes Taipei New Horizon as a New Member

Bringing culture, technology and urban innovation into the digital sustainability conversation

GeSI is pleased to welcome Taipei New Horizon (TNH) as a new member, bringing a distinctive cultural and creative perspective to GeSI’s global community and its work at the intersection of digital innovation and sustainable development.

Established in 2009 through joint investment by Taiwan Mobile and Fubon Land, Taipei New Horizon is a Taipei-based cultural and creative platform and smart venue operator. Its work brings together culture, technology, venue operations and urban innovation, creating spaces and platforms that connect creative communities with new forms of digital and public engagement.

For Taipei New Horizon, sustainability extends across both the physical environment and the communities it serves.

Its building has received Taiwan’s EEWH Gold-Level Green Building Certification. TNH has also invested approximately NT$50 million in energy-efficient exhibition and event facilities, alongside NT$10 million in EV charging infrastructure and LED lighting upgrades, supporting lower-carbon venue operations.

Its sustainability contribution also has a strong cultural and social dimension. Over the past 12 years, TNH has invested more than NT$65 million in cultural and creative initiatives, engaging more than 1.65 million participants and supporting emerging creative talent through platforms including the TNH Creative Festival and TNH Creative Center.

Since 2024, Taipei New Horizon has also been included within Taiwan Mobile’s sustainability reporting boundary and follows the Group’s ESG framework, aligning its operations with broader commitments including RE100 by 2040 and net zero by 2050.

As digital transformation increasingly shapes how people work, interact and experience cities, sustainability is about more than infrastructure efficiency alone. It also requires considering how technology can contribute to inclusive communities, cultural participation and new forms of collaboration.

Taipei New Horizon brings this perspective to the GeSI community, connecting cultural and creative ecosystems with the wider conversation around responsible digital transformation.

Iris Liu, President, Taipei New Horizon, said:

“Culture fuels the human spirit, while technology expands its reach. We look forward to joining GeSI, connecting Taipei New Horizon’s cultural and creative perspective with the global community, and exploring how digital innovation can open new possibilities for creativity, collaboration, and sustainable impact.”

Through its membership, Taipei New Horizon joins GeSI’s global network of companies and organisations working to translate digital innovation into measurable sustainability outcomes.

GeSI looks forward to working with Taipei New Horizon to explore how culture, technology and cross-sector collaboration can contribute to more inclusive, creative and sustainable communities.

Please join us in welcoming Taipei New Horizon to the GeSI community.
