Hummeltorp: Swedish Innovation Aids Los Angeles Fire Recovery
Summary: In the wake of devastating fires in Los Angeles, Swedish recycling technology from Hummeltorp is playing a pivotal role in the city’s recovery. The fires left vast areas of land barren and biologically inactive due to extreme temperatures. To combat this, Hummeltorp is collaborating with local authorities to produce new, fertile soil covering an area equivalent to 6,000 football fields. Hummeltorp’s process converts waste materials into valuable resources, achieving a remarkable recycling rate of 96%.

Connect Europe: Announcing Speakers for the FTConnectEurope Forum
Summary: Connect Europe have announced the Executive Vice President Henna Virkkunen, Germany’s Federal Minister for Digital Affairs and State Modernisation Karsten Wildberger, IMCO Committee Chair at the European Parliament, and MEP Andreas Schwab, will be present at the at the 2025 edition of the FTConnectEurope Forum in September later this year.
