Eurocities is the largest network of European cities, uniting over 200 major cities across 38 countries and representing more than 150 million people. Founded in 1986, Eurocities empowers local governments to address global challenges—such as climate change, digital transformation, migration, and social inclusion—at the local level. Its mission is to create liveable, sustainable, and inclusive cities where people enjoy a high quality of life, clean environments, and equitable access to opportunities.

The network strengthens collaboration between cities and the EU, ensuring urban voices shape European policies through advocacy, projects, and knowledge-sharing. Eurocities facilitates cross-cutting initiatives across nine thematic areas, including governance, climate, mobility, and economic development, while providing members with networking, training, and funding opportunities. By fostering innovation and collective action, Eurocities helps cities turn EU ambitions into tangible local solutions, reinforcing the idea that the future of Europe is decided in its cities.
