GeSI Welcomes Sandro Mesquita as Head of the Americas
We are pleased to welcome Sandro Mesquita as Head of the Americas at GeSI.
In this role, Sandro will lead the expansion of our activities and deepen strategic relationships across the Americas—one of the most dynamic and influential regions shaping the future of digital transformation and business competitiveness. His focus will be on strengthening engagement with industry leaders, scaling our initiatives, and advancing the adoption of Digital with Purpose across the region.
Sandro brings more than three decades of global leadership experience spanning corporate responsibility, sustainability, marketing and brand management, research and intelligence, corporate communications, and sports business. He is widely recognised for building and scaling high-impact programmes, developing multicultural and multidisciplinary teams, and aligning strategy with measurable business and societal outcomes.
Most recently, at AT&T, Sandro served as Assistant Vice President of Corporate Responsibility, where he led transformative initiatives across the United States and global markets. He elevated the BELIEVES® employee engagement platform to world-class scale—achieving triple-digit growth and two Guinness World Records®—and pioneered The Achievery™, an ed-tech platform addressing the digital divide, now reaching over 930,000 students.
Prior to this, Sandro led corporate responsibility and environmental sustainability efforts across Latin America at DIRECTV-SKY (Vrio) and AT&T Mexico, delivering award-winning programmes that integrated environmental stewardship, education, and community engagement into core business strategy. His work has impacted thousands of schools and communities and helped shape some of the region’s most recognised social innovation initiatives. Earlier in his career, he also held leadership roles at The Gallup Organization, including General Manager of Gallup Chile.
Sandro combines strategic vision, global perspective, and operational execution with a strong commitment to purpose-driven leadership. His experience and leadership will be instrumental as GeSI continues to scale its global impact through stronger regional engagement.
