October 2024 – GeSI, in collaboration with Globant and the Circular Electronics Partnership (CEP), is proud to announce the launch of the E-Waste Finance Project. This initiative seeks to address the pressing financial challenges within the e-waste circularity landscape, with a focus on bridging the current financing gap and exploring sustainable business models to support e-waste management efforts.
The project will engage with key stakeholders from the financial services industry to understand their perspective on the e-waste circularity value chain. Through research, industry benchmarking, and interviews, the project aims to identify financial services and investment strategies that can better support electronic waste recovery and repurposing efforts, ultimately driving the transition toward a more sustainable circular economy.
Expected to kick off in October, the project will culminate in a comprehensive landscape report that highlights the challenges and opportunities for financing e-waste circularity. By collaborating with industry leaders and financial institutions, GeSI, Globant, and CEP are paving the way for innovative solutions that can accelerate the shift toward responsible e-waste management and support the global sustainability agenda.
