November 2025 – This November, something powerful will happen in Belem, Brazil: we will turn digital’s promise for climate action into real, visible progress. As many of you know, GeSI once again has the honor of representing the digital sector at the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change’s (UNFCCC) Conference of Parties (COP 30)—and thanks to your expertise, solutions, and partnership, we will not just participate.
We will lead the way.
Below, we are thrilled to share how we will deliver on our goals, the moments that put our members front and center, and how we are building on this momentum for the global climate fight.
Our Goals: We Deliver —Together
Going into COP 30, we set three ambitious targets to move the needle on digital and sustainability.
1. Formally launch the UN Solution Hub: A Game-Changer for Climate Action
In collaboration with Tencent and with the full participation and endorsement of the UNFCCC and the United Nations Global Innovation Hub, we officially unveiled the UN Solutions Hub. This AI-powered marketplace isn’t just a project—it’s a bridge: connecting cities, digital solution providers (like many of you), and green finance to turn local climate goals into global impact.
2. Expand Our Reach in Asia Pacific
Our recent geographic growth in the Asia Pacific region will take a major leap forward at COP 30. We will forge new connections, amplify regional voices, and lay the groundwork to scale digital sustainability solutions where they are needed most.
3. Put Your Work in Front of Key Decision-Makers
The heart of our COP 30 presence was our members. We will showcase your innovative solutions and transformative practices to UN leaders, government representatives, and climate advocates—turning your innovation into influence that will shape global climate policy.
Our Actions: 11 Sessions Setting the Agenda
Over the first week of COP 30 (November 10–15), GeSI will host and support 11 dynamic sessions—each designed to highlight digital’s role in solving climate challenges, and each led by or featuring our incredible members. These are not just talks: they are conversations that will spark partnerships, share actionable insights, and position GeSI as a leader in digital climate action.

Looking Ahead: This Is Just the Start
COP 30 in Belem is a launchpad. The connections we build, the solutions we showcase, and the trust we earn with the UNFCCC and global leaders will fuel our work for months (and years) to come. But none of this would be possible without our members commitment. Every solution they build, every program they run, every voice they lend to this mission brings us closer to a sustainable future powered by digital.
Thank you for staying on course with GeSI—and with each other.
