AI with Purpose Summit – A Recap

GeSI held its inaugural AI with Purpose Summit in New York, earlier this year, in September. The event was very successful in bringing together members from the private, public and social spheres, focusing on the role of AI. The event was kicked off with UN General Secretary Antonio Gutteres giving a speech and releasing the UN Advisory Board on AI paper on AI governance.

Following this, a full agenda with plenty of diverse speakers followed. Our CEO Luis Neves shared some thoughts on how the event went:

“From our discussions on AI’s transformative power in modernizing digital infrastructure and addressing climate action, to capacity building through education, skills, and collaborative international policy, it’s clear that AI will shape the future. GeSI aims to be at the forefront of shaping inclusive, equitable and sustainable AI governance.

A huge thank you to all the distinguished speakers and participants. Let’s continue to build trust in AI, close the digital divide, and work towards a future where AI empowers everyone. This is just the beginning!”

Missed the event but want to be part of the conversation? Don’t worry, we have you covered. The whole session was recorded and individual parts can be found below. Navigate to the speaker and topics you want to see below!
