Innovation enables Green, from Low Carbon Campus to Net Zero City | Mobile World Congress, Barcelona
The Green Roundtable will take place on 5 March 2025, from 9:00 to 13:00 (CET) at MWC Barcelona (W-Hotel Studio 8)
Dr Luis Neves, GeSI CEO, will give a keynote and moderate the discussion.
This roundtable will focus on Green Transition Initiatives and Practices in low-carbon campuses and communities, aiming to spur action toward Net Zero City Development. According to a consensus among organizations such as UNFCCC-GIH, UNEP, GeSI, UTM, AIOTI, and others, advancing zero-carbon cities is critical to achieving global carbon neutrality goals, as urban greenhouse gas emissions account for over 70% of worldwide emissions.
Digital power, ICT, and digital innovations are poised to play a pivotal role in driving and supporting the Net Zero process.
Goals of the Session:
- Explore the development trends, industry mechanisms, and standardisations for Net Zero Cities.
- Highlight initiatives to accelerate the green transition in campuses and communities.
- Foster green practises through digital power and ICT, in collaboration with industry partners.
