Andy has spent most of his career in a range of technical roles in the IT industry working on projects in the UK and in a number of other countries, including Japan, Sweden, South Africa, and France. His lifelong interest in environmental matters led him, 10 years ago, to move into the area of ICT and sustainability, since when he has held a number of senior positions in Fujitsu's environmental organisation, working on initiatives globally for improving both Fujitsu's own environmental performance at that of its customers. His most recent areas of focus have been on ICT sector decarbonisation, renewable energy, and climate change adaptation.
Andy has worked closely with GeSI since Fujitsu became a member, participating in a number of GeSI events and projects, including the Smarter2030 launch and Bonn COP23, and has been active on the Climate Change Committee, including on the Smarter2030 Reloaded, Science Based Targets and TCFD projects in particular.
Recently retired from Fujitsu, Andy remains active in the digital sustainability arena, and very keen to use his knowledge, experience and interest to continue contributing to this hugely important and relevant area.
