SUMMARY:London Climate Week
DESCRIPTION:London Climate Action Week harnesses the power of London for global and local climate action. \nAn open and inclusive platform for action — and a public good — LCAW is one of the world’s largest independent climate events. Now in its eighth edition\, it brings together more than 75\,000 people across more than 750 events over nine days each June — from community gatherings in every borough to ministerial roundtables in the City of London\, from school events to major international conferences. Climate action happening\, visibly\, across an entire global city. \nLCAW is a key moment in the global climate calendar — where climate action happens between COPs\, where the UN Global Climate Action Agenda comes alive in cities and communities\, and where the international climate community gathers to build the cooperation for progress and action. \nLearn more about London Climate Week here.

After three successful editions in Portugal and following the AI with Purpose Global Summit held last May in Taipei\, the move to Brussels underscores the Summit’s growing international reach and its commitment to bridging innovation\, business\, and policy on a global scale.  \nIn a rapidly evolving geopolitical landscape\, Europe faces critical questions about its global leadership and long-term competitiveness. The Digital with Purpose Global Summit 2025 offers a high-level platform to address these questions head-on—uniting voices from policy\, business\, and technology to define how digital transformation can reinforce Europe’s economic autonomy\, innovation capacity\, and green leadership. At a time when digital infrastructure\, AI\, and data policy are increasingly tied to strategic sovereignty and climate goals\, the Summit will emphasize actionable pathways to ensure Europe leads the global digital race not only through regulation\, but by enabling innovation and scale. \nThis Summit provides a vital platform to forge a clear\, strong\, and future-oriented digital strategy. By embracing and advancing ‘Digital with Purpose\,’ Europe can reassert its fundamental role as a global player\, ensuring economic growth\, decarbonization\, security\, and sustained competitiveness. Participants will explore how digital technologies—from AI and data centres to smart grids and urban infrastructure—can drive measurable impact across sectors. Through a curated mix of keynote interventions\, strategic dialogues\, and sectoral case studies\, the programme will elevate Europe’s unique position to align policy\, innovation\, and investment—ensuring that digital transformation becomes a lever for opportunity\, resilience\, and purposeful leadership. \nThe Digital with Purpose Global Summit 2025 is a two-day summit taking place on 27–28 October at THE EGG in Brussels. \nJoin us\, register here: https://registration.digitalwithpurpose.org/?access_token=d3a470f75ce2d411594303d59ab24bee

SUMMARY:EGDC Opening Welcome Webinar
DESCRIPTION:We are thrilled to announce the deployment phase of the European Green Digital Coalition (EGDC)! In its first phase\, the EGDC developed a Net Carbon Methodology (NCM) to measure the environmental impact of digital solutions — particularly their ability to reduce emissions and have a net positive “carbon handprint.” We have now begun work on phase II of the project. \nWhy does this matter? \nThis represents an important moment and leap forward in our ability to link environmental and economic benefits of digital solutions for sustainability challenges with a credible\, quantifiable\, and repeatable approach – our Net Impact Methodology. \nGeSI is co-leading a consortium that includes the Carbon Trust and PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC)\, funded by the EU Commission\, to deploy and test the efficacy of the methodology over the next two years. \nDuring this period\, we will: \n\nProduce at least 50 case studies applying the NCM developed in EGDC Phase I.\nDemonstrate the net impact of digital solutions in reducing carbon emissions.\nEstablish the NCM as the global standard for measuring avoided emissions\, referred to as the “carbon handprint\,” for digital solutions.\nSimplify the NCM for broader applicability.\n\nWhat does this mean for your organization? \nYou can showcase your digital solutions and document the positive environmental and economic impacts. You can use this as you engage with your business colleagues. You can use this in competitive bids. You can use this with your customers. \nYou can achieve these outcomes by participating. \nWe need you to nominate your digital solutions. These can be implemented or pre-implementation\, from anywhere in the world. And we need you to learn and apply the Net Impact Methodology with us.
