On October 30, Steve Rochlin and Chris Lloyd were invited by The Lewis Institute for Social Innovation at Babson College to participate in a new forum on Digital Responsibility.
Babson College is the top-ranked college for entrepreneurship and the Lewis Institute is a leader on integrating a focus on the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) into business curriculum, with Babson students greatly interested in creating business models which generate both social and financial value. The audience included MBA students with the recorded session to be shared with The Lewis Institute’s community.
The discussion centered around how companies can articulate their purpose, use digital technologies, and build digital trust in support of the Sustainable Development Goals. Following an overview of GeSI’s mission and current work on developing the Digital with Purpose principles, the session concluded with a Q&A with students on the responsible use of technology in entrepreneurial activities.
Ruben Mancha, Professor - Technology, Operations & Information Management, expressed Babson's eagerness to remain engaged with GeSI and affirmed his desire to integrate DwP into his curriculum to help fulfill the school’s mission of developing responsible business leaders.
GeSI looks forward to a future collaboration with Babson College to promote the enabling potential of digital technologies to uphold human rights and strengthen digital trust and responsibility.
